Main activities
Characterization of materials from very diverse areas of study - metal, polymers, biological, geological, etc. – supported by top-level expertise technicians;
Surface morphology analysis at high-resolution, enabling the measurement of details down to nanometer scale;
Integrated spectroscopic characterization with EDS (Energy Dispersive x-ray Spectroscopy);
Non-conventional SEM techniques available: Cryo-SEM, ESEM, low-vacuum SEM, In-situ hot stage;
Support to the academic research (universities and public institutes) and the industry;
Training of undergraduate and graduate students on the techniques available at the laboratory.
